Paul Nash (Writer/Producer) is a scriptwriter and occasional producer based in London. Paul has written and produced/co-produced a number of comedy short films. A Hitch in the Plan was shown on ITV4 and has been screened at many festivals including: London Short Film Festival, East End Film Festival. The Last Place You Look won Best Film at Morbegno Film Festival, plus second place prize at ‘Going Underground’ Interfilm Festival (which saw films play on the Berlin Metro) and was also showcased across Europe by Sony on the PSP console.  Paul has collaborated with director Gus Alvarez on four short films to date: Salsa Guy, Captive, Stand & Deliver and Double Top. Paul’s black-comedy-dance-film Salsa Guy script was executive produced by the BAFTA-winning writer David Quantick and screened successfully at several festivals. The satirical hostage drama short Captive starring David Cann won the Audience Award at Portobello Film Festival, and has screened internationally at the Independent European Film Festival, Marbella International Festival and Canterbury (NZ) Film Festival, plus on Polish national broadcaster TVP Kultura. Paul also co-wrote with Gus the lyrical short drama Stand & Deliver, which screened both in the UK and worldwide. In 2010 Stand & Deliver was nominated for both Best UK Short at the East End Film Festival and the Anthony Minghella Award for Best UK Short at Glimmer film festival.

Paul’s sketch work has appeared on Series 4 of Radio 4′s Recorded for Training Purposes. He also actively writes sketches and script edits for the forthcoming sketch collective Treacle Town. Treacle Town’s sketch ‘Posh Off’ recently won an audience award at the Cofilmic comedy film festival.

Paul has consulted and written scripts for several book trailer videos for Bloomsbury Publishing plc, including the Booker shortlisted Pigeon English and the Orange prize winning The Song of Achilles.

Paul is currently developing a number of television projects.

Gus Alvarez (Director/Writer/Producer) has combined a career in live TV (BBC, Sky News, Channel 4 and CNN) with independent filmmaking. He has directed a number of award-winning short films. Hostage-tape satirical thriller Captive won the Audience Award at Portobello Film Festival. Lyrical drama Stand & Deliver was nominated for Best UK Short at East End Film Festival 2010and for the Anthony Minghella Award for Best UK Short at Glimmer 2010. His black comedy dance short Salsa Guy won Best Film at the Bacup Film Festival 2007, and was Exec Produced by David Quantick.
