As part of the Hackney Wick Takeover at the Victoria and Albert Museum The Lab Film Festival is proud to present a selection of artist’s films, documentaries, discussions and performances. 

On Friday 28th February 6:30-9:30 the V&A will be taken over by groups from all across Hackney Wick!  For this The Lab Film Festival will fill the Lydia and Manfred Gorvy 300-seater Lecture Theatre with a special selection of films and performance. Not to be missed!

This colourful collection of artist’s narrative, animation, documentary, and experimental film, punctuated with live performance and practice discussion, provides a taste of the vibrant atmosphere in which these artists struggle and survive, and offers a rare window onto the working practice of moving image makers.

With a focus on the fragments of forgotten and ignored whimsical details, and the threatened histories of mnemonic cultural experiences, which construct the hidden cultural fabric of the region.
